SUMMARY STATEMENT OF FAITH AND PRACTICE
The Liberty Bible Fellowship Church, Inc. is a local autonomous evangelical holiness church, firmly committed to the authenticity and authority of the Holy Bible. The final authority for all matters of faith and practice for christian living both private and public. Liberty Bible Fellowship Church's doctrinal position is Armenian in Theology, Wesleyan in Doctrine, holiness in experience of heart, and scriptural in standard of life. Our duites are therefore to preach, teach, and practice that a person by faith can be forgiven of his/her sins. (John 1:12-13, 3:5 Acts 13:39, Rom. 3:38) A person can then be sanctified of his inherited sin, carnal desires, and live a spirit-filled life evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit. (Matt. 5:48; Luke 1:74-75; John 17: Rom: 8:3-4; 1 Thes. 5:23 & Gal.5:22-24)
Liberty Bible Fellowship Church believe in the diversity of gifts of the Holy Spirit. This is known in the scripture as the 'Gifts of Grace', and not all members have the same gifts. A summary of the teachings of the Scriptures concerning spiritual gifts is found in 1 Cor.12:4-7; 29-30. We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are supernatural endowments for service that is determined by the character of the ministry, and exercised in harmony of the body of Christ; particularly in a local congregation. Liberty Bible Fellowship Church recognize and respect the diversity of worship and practice in the body of Christ. Especially among those churches which uphold the fundamental and historical doctrines of Christianity. However, to avoid confusion in Liberty Bible Fellowship Church; our ministers, leaders, members and visiting preachers are expected to preach, teach and practise only such doctrinal beliefs upheld by Liberty Bible Fellowship Church. Therefore while we respect those who may hold different doctrinal views, because of our theological stance in the Wesleyan doctrine; we will not permit or encourage preaching, teaching and practicing of any other doctrinal beliefs in our Church services.
Liberty Bible Fellowship Church believes in Christ, and evangelising Him to our community and the world.
Our business is to evangelize the lost: both local, and foreign; in providing and supporting native evangelism
and missions around the world, and proclaiming the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to all, without regard to
ethnicity, or cultural of origin in advancing the Kingdom of God, and carrying out the Great Commission.
Liberty Bible Fellowship Church believe in the concept of inter-dependence: that each christian,
and congregation is vital part of the larger universal body of Christ. We do need each other for
warm christian fellowship, and for evangelical and missionary outreach. We therefore seek to find
ways to include members on basis of common persuasions, purposes and principles; rather than to find ways
to exclude members because of distinctions of secondary importance.
Liberty Bible Fellowship Church advocates a life of Liberty, while preserving biblically sound values.
The New Testament doctrine of "liberty" in Christ is of cardinal value to fellowship. Avoiding evil of every kind
and obeying the Word of God for a christian lifestyle is liberty. However, our liberty is not to be construed as
licenses for lawlessness. Rather, christian living is to be marked as "Holiness unto the Lord".
Liberty Bible Fellowship Church is an affiliate of International Fellowship of Bible Churches, Inc.
In USA and as such we embrace their theological, doctrinal and philosophical position as written
in their Faith and Practice booklet. This booklet is available to you free of charge upon request.
